Best Mobile Home Investing Books for Getting Started

#1 Deals on Wheels by Lonnie Scruggs

Ah yes, the book that started it all. Considered the “Godfather” of mobile home investing, Lonnie was one of the first to write about his method of investing in mobile homes. Whether you’re just starting out or an experienced investor, this one is a classic. For more details, check out my book review.

#2 Adventures in Mobile Homes by Rachel Hernandez

In second place, comes my own personal book which many have referred to as a more modern version of Lonnie’s.

#3 Mobile Home Wealth by Zalman Velvel

Next we have this book which talks about the different ways you can invest in mobile homes, not only in parks. Personally, I found it to be a good overview book on the subject of mobile home investing.

#4 Making Money with Mobile Homes by Lonnie Scruggs

Again, we have the second book in Lonnie’s series. This is a continuation of the first book. Here Lonnie talks about more mobile home investing deals and stories including buying homes on mobile home lots.

#5 Investing in Mobile Homes with Land

Have you ever thought about investing in mobile homes with land?
Then this book is for you! As a former police officer, Tony Colella started doing deals in mobile home parks (just as described in Lonnie’s book). Though, there came a point where he wanted more control due to increased lot rents and management changes. So he started buying mobile homes on land.

#6 The New Investor’s Guide to Owning a Mobile Home Park by Laura Cochran

Are you interested in owning and investing in mobile home parks?
If you are, then you definitely need to check out this book. As a former single mother, Laura shares with you her story on how she got into mobile home park investing. Included in the book are her techniques of finding, buying, managing and selling mobile home parks.

If you’re going to get into the mobile home investing
business, you’ll need to have some knowledge about fixing up mobile homes. From time to time, you’ll need to do repairs and sometimes upgrades to your mobile home investments. Every new and experienced mobile home investor should have this book. Personally, I use it as a reference for all my mobile home repair and fix up projects.

(Note: If you’re going to be working and managing contractors for your fix up projects, you definitely want to read this book .)
