Video: Budget "Til Debt Due Us Part"

Since it’s Friday, I thought I’d share with everyone a clip from an interesting series on personal finance I’ve started to watch, “Til Debt Due Us Part.”

I think the concept of taking away credit from folks (as shown in the clip below) forces people to be more frugal. It’s mind boggling to see the amount of debt that has taken over many of these people’s lives as depicted in the series.

Though it may seem simple in nature, the basic concepts of personal finance have not been learned and put into play by many.

Hope you enjoy the clip!

    Thanks for posting this Rachel.

It helps to slap myself into reality. I've been in debt before and gotten myself out of it and was very proud of myself for that.

I, unfortunately, went into debt again after buying a house with my partner. No excuses for the excess debt tho.

I'm sure you're read about my "issues" on my blog. If you search around my blog you can read a whole lot more about those debt and financial issues (if you need some help sleeping one nite lol)

I'm going to check out your recommended financial books…I bet we have a lot of the same ones on our lists. So you see…I KNOW what I'm suppose to do, it's just that I don't always do it.

Kathy on the other hand…well she's a whole other story lol

Thanks again for posting this. I needed it.

P.S. I am a little opposite of the guy in the video tho. He makes little money and spends a lot everyday…..I currently make lil money and don't spend a lot or like to go many places out of guilt (of course for not having money.) ughhhhh.

Great show! Great Blog!. I recently got a lead from a homeowner and it was a mobile home. If you were in my neck the the wood, I would have used your expertise.

(Carey) Sure, you're welcome Carey! It's a really interesting series, I enjoy watching it.

Since finance is not something we usually learn in school and is seldom discussed, it's really something that is unknown to most folks. Even growing up, I was forbidden to talk about money and finance especially at the dinner table. I was actually scolded in school for my entrepreneurial ventures at a very early age (that's a post for another day!)

I'll definitely do a search on your blog and learn more about those issues. Thanks for sharing and for stopping by!

(Esi) Glad you enjoy the show and the blog Esi! Wow, that's cool about the lead on the mobile home -feel free to keep in touch and let me know of any questions that come up in the future, thanks for stopping by!
